Born in Phoenix Arizona, but only staying long enough to soil a few diapers, Mike was off on his first tour of life as an Air Force brat. He was influenced by music at an early age from the impressions left by early appearances of the Beatles and Elvis on television as well as his parents steady flow of jazz greats played on the family record player. At age 9 Mike saw his first live band "Bill Gregory & the Advisors" perform at Clark Airforce Base NCO club in the Phillipines. This left a lasting impression of the electric bass and performing for a live audience.
